The OpenSites Content Management System

OpenSites is not just a great tool to develop websites. The OpenSites Content Management System allows you or your client to easily maintain content after the site is launched.

And by offering your clients a content-managed website, you add value to your offering and are able to attract better projects and higher fees.

The CMS Admin Panel includes page/content management tools, and administration interfaces for all the modules selected while building the Project.

Note there is no Integresis or OpenSites branding on the Admin Panel.

The CMS Admin provides access to nearly all the features of the Project Work Area, and additionally gives access to configure and load content into Modules.

As you can see, the Work Area View in Admin is red, to avoid confusion with your Development Project, which is blue.

For doing lots of quick content updates, some users prefer to access Pages and other features through a conventional tabular navigation. So OpenSites offers the choice of a 'Classic View' in addition to the visual Work Area View.

Here's the page structure of the site seen in Classic View. Note that this view also gives the ability to filter pages by Revision Status - i.e. Awaiting Approval; Awaiting to Publish; Published.

All OpenSites administration functions are subject to User Controls, and the Admin gives you the ability to set up and control Users and Permissions.

You could use this, say, to give your client access to update content while protecting the stylesheets you have built from tampering.

Your client might also employ User Permissions to control which staff members can perform specific functions on the website.

Each module you select while building the project has its own Admin, accessed from the site Admin Panel.
